Like all companies, we expect you to follow certain guidelines if hosting a tour with us. First off, let me say something about bad reviews. While everyone is entitled to their own opinion and you are encouraged to give your honest opinion, we do ask that if you have a negative review to hold off on posting it until the tour is over. If you feel you cannot post a good review, let us know and you can do a promotional post.


*Please make sure you have our button on your blog. You’ll find it on the sidebar.

*On the day that you are scheduled to host, please make sure your post is at the TOP. This makes it easier for the author to see them and take part in the tour.

*If you are scheduled for a date but cannot do your post for any reason, please let us know so other arrangements can be made.

*Regardless what type of post you are doing, all promo material provided to you should be included. This includes book information, book cover, book blurb, excerpt, buy links, author photo, picture and links.

*If you are doing a review post, please include at the bottom of your post a disclaimer that you received a free copy of the book for review from the author.

* Please make sure your post is up by 7:00-8:00AM.

*When you receive the blog tour button, please post this on your site linking to the tour schedule provided to you.

Book Reviews:

*If you accept a review copy, please post your review on other review sites as well. Amazon, Goodreads, Barnes & Noble and any other review site where you have an account.

*If posting to Amazon, please include a disclaimer otherwise Amazon will not post the review. “I received a copy/ARC of this book for free to review from the author/publisher/tour site; this in no way influenced my review, all opinions are 100% honest and my own.”

*If you are posting a guest post, guest post topics will be decided by the author unless otherwise stated. You may be asked to provide a topic, which will then be provided to the author. If you are scheduled for a guest post, the guest post will be sent to you as soon as we receive them from the author.


*If the author is sponsoring a giveaway, all information will be provided to you. Giveaways will run the length of the tour, so please leave it up on your blog for the duration. At the end of the tour, please forward any winners information to with what they won and “(Tour Name) Giveaway Winner” as the subject.

Author or Character Interviews:

*If you are scheduled for an author and/or character interview, please send in the questions to as soon as possible so they can be passed on to the author. The authors responses will be sent to you as soon as we receive them.

*If you have standard interview questions, please send them in so they can be kept on file to be sent out each time you host an author/character interview.

Promotional Posts/Spotlights:

*Promotional posts/Spotlights should include ALL information in the media kit supplied to you. This includes: book info, description, cover, excerpt, buy links and the author photo, picture and links. No matter what type of post you are scheduled for, please include all of this information.

As a Black, White, and Read Tours host you are encouraged to sign up for any tour that interests you. You are not required to join every tour.

If for some reason you do not receive any information for a tour you have been scheduled on, please email and let us know so the required information can be sent to you ASAP! If you have any questions, comments or concerns please email us at

If you have been scheduled for a certain date, please make sure your post is posted on that day and in a timely manner. Any host who is constantly late, does not post with no reason, or disappears will be removed from the Black, White and Read Tours hosts list without notice.
